Father Arrested For Accidentally Shooting His Sons
An Atlanta father has been charged with two counts of reckless conduct on Sunday after he accidentally shot his two sons while cleaning his gun.
Atlanta police said Brandon Vicks was cleaning his pistol Sunday night when it discharged. The bullet ricocheted off the floor and then hit his 7-year-old stepson in the left hand and arm, then struck his 10-year-old stepson above the eye, police said.
Both children were taken to Egleston Children’s Hospital by ambulance.
There were three other children and an adult inside the home at the time of the shooting but no one else was hurt.
Vicks was arrested and charged with two counts of reckless conduct.
He doesn’t need a gun if he can’t even clean it without shooting his children.
