Shea Moisture has issued an apology after they got dragged from the roots to the shaft over their new melanin-free ad campaign which features one biracial woman and three white women.
The haircare line, which has always catered to women of color, appears to have flipped the script for financial gain.

The drag was swift and relentless as one commenter wrote:
I’m a white woman. I’ve been using your product and didn’t need another white woman in a commercial to use it. I mean, sure, have a token white if you want but where the hell are the Black Women?!?! One light skinned woman is not representing your clientele. I’m pissed off and white, I can’t imagine what my dark skinned sisters are feeling.
Now, you KNOW you don’t f**ked up when Elizabeth is going in! (For the record, her name really is Elizabeth.)
The Twitterverse swooped down on Shea Moisture too!
