Shaq shared a story on “NBA on TNT” Tuesday night about how he helped a young man in Zales pay off his engagement ring simply because he likes to “make people smile.”

Shaq said he went to the jewelry store in Atlanta to purchase some hoop earrings when he noticed a guy stressing over his remaining balance on an engagement ring.

I seen the guy come in — he was just so shy. He was saying, ‘Hey, how much do I owe to pay off my ring.’

And I was like, ‘My man, how much is the ring?’ I’m not going to say the amount, but it’s not a lot for me.

I was like, ‘You know what? Tell your girlfriend I got her, I’ll take care of it.’

At first, he didn’t want to take it. He was like, ‘Man, I can’t do that.’ I said, ‘Don’t worry about it. I do it all the time.’ I’m just trying to make people smile, that’s all.

Shaq said he didn’t want the story to get out because it’s not about the accolades for him, he just tries to do a good deed when he leaves the house.

He then shares a story about how he helped a lady with an autistic daughter purchase some furniture.

This lady, she had an autistic daughter. And she was also looking to pay for some furniture and I just took care of her. So, I’m into making people happy.

Shout out to Shaq for his big heart and being a blessing to others.

Now that the word is out on Shaq’s amazing acts of kindness, I’m sure his public appearances around Atlanta are about to get a lot more interesting.
