On Monday’s episode of “Undisputed,” Shannon Sharpe made a call from his personal cell phone to his friend, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones, but Uncle Shay didn’t let Julio know he was live on the air until the end of the conversation.

Most people know that proper phone etiquette is to let a person know the situation as soon as you call them if someone else is on the line, especially if you’re live on the air with millions of people watching and listening.

During the conversation, you can hear moderator Jenny Taft tell Shannon to remind Julio he’s live on the air.

Watch the video below:

There has been a lot of speculation about Julio’s future with the Atlanta Falcons since they drafted tight end Kyle Pitts formerly of the Florida Gators, who many NFL analysts considered to be the best raw talent in the draft.

Julio has been pretty quiet about his status to the sports media, but you can tell he thought he was in a safe space talking to Uncle Shay.

When Julio said he’s “out of there” referring to the Falcons organization Julio revealed what the sports media had been clamoring to find out for months.

Despite Julio Jones being the best receiver in the Falcons’ history and one of the best receivers in the NFL, the Falcons have expressed a desire to trade him primarily due to nagging injuries.

As a Falcons fan, this doesn’t surprise me because they consistently make bad decisions.

Back to Uncle Shay, Julio sounded very relaxed on the phone and I would guess that he thought he was having a private conversation with Shannon.

Shannon did let him know at the end of the conversation that they were live on the air, but by that time it was too late.

Julio saying he’s out of the Falcons organization has been the top story on all sports shows since Shannon made the call.

I’m sure Shannon Sharpe has already apologized to Julio for not letting him know as soon as he answered the call that he was live on the air.

It’s been great having Julio Jones in Atlanta, and I wish him the best in the future. Whatever team he goes to they are getting a helluva receiver.
