Rihanna Lands Iconic Role On “Bates Motel”
Rihanna is checking in to the “Bates Motel,” but she won’t be checking out!
On Friday, the producers of “Bates Motel” announced RiRi will play the role of the iconic character, Marion Crane, for the fifth and final season of A&E’s prequel series.
You may recall Marion Crane was the beautiful woman who checked into the Bates Motel and was stabbed to death by Norman Bates in the shower as she was getting so fresh and so clean.
“We wanted to thrust the iconic role into a contemporary spotlight and redefine it in a meaningful and exciting new way. We also heard Rihanna was a fan of the show, and we were huge fans of hers, so it was the perfect collision of creativity and fate,” executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin said in a statement released after the Comic-Con announcement.

I love “Bates Motel” and although I’m sad to see the show end…I’m happy to know they’re going out with a bang!
