The release of Respect, MGM’s highly anticipated Aretha Franklin biopic has been pushed back to 2021.

The film, starring Jennifer Hudson as the Queen of Soul, was originally slated to open in theaters this Christmas.

But, due to the ongoing challenges we are facing due to COVID-19, the film has been rescheduled to open in theaters on August 13, 2021.

About The Film:

Following the rise of Aretha Franklin’s career from a child singing in her father’s church’s choir to her international superstardom, Respect is the remarkable true story of the music icon’s journey to find her voice.
