Kelly Ripa Returns To “Live!” With A Special Message
After taking time off to “process” the news of Michael Strahan‘s departure, Kelly Ripa returned to “Live! with Kelly and Michael” on Tuesday.
Kelly walked out hand-in-hand with Michael like she usually does and was greeted with a standing ovation from the audience.
Rather than taking her seat next to Michael, Kelly stood to the side to make a personal statement about the shenanigans that have transpired behind-the-scenes.
I gained some perspective. I always speak from the heart. I didn’t want to come out here and say something I might regret.
But, what transpired over the course of a few days has been extraordinary. In the sense that it has started a much greater conversation about communication and consideration and most importantly respect in the workplace.
Kelly went on to speak on the future of the show.
Apologies have been made and the best thing to come out of all of this is that our parent company has assured me that ‘Live’ is a priority.

I am thrilled for Michael! I am thrilled for you! This is a tremendous opportunity and I couldn’t be…and WE couldn’t be prouder of you and everything we accomplished together!
