Halle Berry files for divorce.
After two years of marriage, Halle Berry has filed for divorce from Olivier Martinez.
TMZ broke the story on Tuesday reporting:
We’re told Halle cited irreconcilable differences. As for money, we’re told it’s not an issues because the couple had a prenup.
A source close to the couple tells us, “They have a personality difference.” And the incident at LAX, where Olivier hit a guy with a car seat, exacerbated their conflicts.
Olivier got sued for the incident last week and our sources say the couple argued about the suit, and it became a breaking point.
One source tells us the 2-year marriage went into a tailspin a week ago … to the point each of them had had it with the marriage, but Halle filed first.
Another source said, “They’re just very, very different people. He’s a very macho guy, and things just didn’t ‘jive”
They have a child, Maceo, who is 2-years-old.
Our sources say Halle is not asking for joint or primary custody, but rather what is in “the best interests of the child.”
We’re told the expectation on Halle’s part is for a quick, non-contentious divorce.
This was the third marriage for the Oscar-winning actress.
She was married to David Justice from 1993 to 1997 and to R&B singer Eric Benét from 2001 to 2005.
After her divorce from Eric, Halle vowed to never get married again.
She began a serious relationship with Gabriel Aubry and they had a daughter, Nahla together in 2008.
Halle and Gabriel were embroiled in a nasty custody battle over Nahla for months.
In 2012, Gabriel Aubry was arrested following an altercation between and Olivier at Halle’s house.
I was really hoping Halle Berry had found happiness with Olivier, but it looks like another one has bit the dust.
