The remains found in Alabama earlier this month have been positively identified as 5-year-old Taylor Williams.
Jacksonville Sheriff Office Chief of Investigations T.K. Waters made the heartbreaking announcement on Monday.
Waters did not disclose how they ended up finding the remains as the investigation is ongoing.
That information we’re going to keep with us. It’s a very intense, very long, very detailed investigation.
And those are things we are going to keep with our investigation until we go through the courts and everything else.

Taylor’s mother, Brianna Williams, was hospitalized after she attempted to commit suicide hours after the remains were discovered.
She has since been charged with child neglect and giving false information to law enforcement.
Brianna Williams is being held in the Duval County jail on $1.1 million bond and she scheduled to be arraigned on December 4.
She still isn’t cooperating with the police.
This sweet baby deserved better.
