Raven-Symoné is the latest celebrity to sit in the hot seat on TV One’s “Uncensored.”

The 35-year-old actress and recording artist opened up about how her dissociative disorder impacted all of her memories of working on “The Cosby Show.”

Dissociative disorders are characterized by an involuntary escape from reality characterized by a disconnection between thoughts, identity, consciousness and memory.

Raven-Symoné starred on “The Cosby Show” from 1989-1992 as Olivia Kendall, the stepdaughter of Denise Huxtable, played by Lisa Bonet.

She shared:

I don’t remember a scene. I don’t remember anything while it’s a rehearsal or a camera.

I remember the smell of the soul food coming out of his dressing room.

Okay, so when we opened the show…in front of a live studio audience, we had to walk up some stairs and we came down that classic staircase.

I remember standing up there and playing with the wood before we went down.

I do not remember as soon as the cameras start. Something clicks off and I do what I’m trained to do.

When I turned 18, I knew something was going on so I started going to therapy and it’s disassociation.

I just black out, I turn into who I’m supposed to be when the camera’s on, and then, I come back to when normal life resumes.

Watch below as she shares in her own words.

Watch “Uncensored” with Raven-Symoné this Sunday at 10/9c only on TV One.
