Rapper Bad Azz passed away on Monday while in custody at a detention center in Riverside, California.
The rapper, real name Jamarr Antonio Stamps, was picked up on Friday on a domestic violence charge. On Monday, he suffered a medical emergency in his cell and died.
He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
Cops say guards were conducting a security check when they noticed Bad Azz in need of medical assistance. Medical staff attempted to perform lifesaving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Law enforcement sources say there are no signs of foul play, and their investigation remains ongoing. The cause of death will be determined by the coroner.
Bad Azz was a very close friend of Snoop Dogg and was part of his Dogg Pound and LBC Crew.
