Rajon Rondo has agreed to a 2-year $15M deal with the Atlanta Hawks, but something tells me he has a hidden agenda.

Rajon Rondo’s gameplay in the playoffs has given him the name “Playoff Rondo” a moniker that he has expressed that he does not like.

Playoff Rondo was definitely in effect in the 2020 NBA Finals where Rondo shot 40-percent from the three-point line and made some key plays for the Lakers to secure the 2020 NBA Championship.

Rondo averaged 8.9 points, 6.6 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game in the playoffs, but he missed 5 games.

Rondo also missed 23 regular-season games due to injury last season.

He is an injury liability, and the fact that he chose to come to the Hawks instead of pursuing a third championship with the Clippers is very suspect.

I believe Rondo is coming to the Atlanta Hawks to try to secure a coaching position with the organization.

Rondo has admitted that he would like to coach one day, and for the next two years he will be the oldest veteran on the team.

Watch the videos below related to Rondo coaching:

The Hawks can definitely use Rondo’s leadership and basketball IQ, but not as a bench player making $15M over the next two years.

Don’t be surprised if you see Rondo on the coaching staff of the Hawks in the next three years.

Just remember you heard it here first!
