“Queen Sugar” Season 2
The Bordelons will be back in action this summer!
Ava DuVernay has announced “Queen Sugar” season 2 will return this summer with a special 2-night premiere on June 20 and 21.
“Queen Sugar” stars Kofi Siriboe, Rutina Wesley and Dawn-Lyen Gardner as three very different siblings trying to honor their father’s legacy and resurrect his rural Louisiana farm.
Season 2 will offer 16 episode, which is plenty of time for Hollywood and Viv to make it like it was (Regina Belle voice).
Outside of being one of the best dramas to hit television, there are so many great things going on behind the scenes with “Queen Sugar.”
Like season one, season 2 will also feature an all-female directing team which includes returning producer-director Kat Chandler, DeMane Davis (Lift), Cheryl Dune (HBO’s Stranger Inside), Aurora Guerrero (Mosquita y Mari) and Amanda Marsalis (Echo Park).
