“Putting The PR Back In EntrePReneurship” Seminar
On Saturday (June 11), I had the pleasure of attending the “Putting The PR Back In EntrePReneurship” seminar by PR for a Day hosted by Senior PR Director of iGN PR & Co., Ronnika Ann. PR for a Day is a one-day consulting service by Ronnika for EntrePReneurs in small businesses, nonprofits and lifestyle.
The seminar series kicked off in Atlanta, GA and also included the official release of “Putting The PR Back in EntrePReneurship” PR Workbook Volume 1 which is now available on Amazon!
The seminar featured Ronnika’s presentation of her workbook. She spoke on crucial points, including: social media, branding, media pitching, crisis management and more. Each featured speaker, following Ronnika’s presentation, expounded on each topic of the workbook.
Guest Speakers included: Sammi Haynes from Sheen Magazine and Kim Ford from Jubilee Magazine who spoke about media relationships. Lenise Williams, Esq touched on the topic of branding and was followed by Christal Jordan from Enchanted Branding & PR who spoke on image development. Bentley Didier from The Anchor & Company closed the workshop with tips on publicity efforts.
Seminar attendees also took advantage of individual consultations by Ronnika and industry-grouped workshops lead by: Farrah Gilyard, Lindsey Walker and Andrea Hamilton.
The seminar was an excellent resource for small business owners and entrepreneurs who may not have the $1500-2000/mo to hire a publicist to work on their behalf.
If you’re a business owner or entrepreneur, I highly recommend this seminar as well as Ronnika’s new book as your do-it-yourself manual.
The next PR for a Day Seminar is scheduled for November 12, 2016 in Miami, Florida! For more information on “PR for a Day,” the workbook “Putting the PR Back in EntrePReneurship,” or Ronnika Ann, visit www.PRforaDay.net or www.iGNPR.com.
