Purple Rain Returning To U.S. Theaters This Weekend!

AMC has teamed up with Warner Bros. to screen Prince‘s classic film, Purple Rain, in theaters this weekend.

Purple Rain, starring the late music icon, was originally released in 1984 and earned Prince an Academy Award for Best Original Song Score.

The incredible soundtrack that accompanied the film went platinum 13 times over and produced two no.1 singles with “When Doves Cry” and “Let’s Go Crazy.”

Purple Rain will screen in 87 AMC theaters and a few Carmike theaters as well from Saturday, April 23 through Thursday, April 27.
