Oh, my lamb! NBCUniversal has announced they are rebooting “Punky Brewster” as part of their forthcoming streaming service, Peacock!
Soleil Moon Frye is set to reprise her beloved character, an orphan who is being raised by a foster father (George Gaynes).
In the “Punky Brewster” reboot, Punky is all grown up and a single mother of three. She’s trying to get her life back on track when she meets a young girl who reminds her a lot of her younger self.
Soleil will also serve as executive producer along with Duclon and Jimmy Fox of Main Event Media, an All3Media America company.
In a post on her Instagram page, Soleil Moon Frye wrote:
