Prince’s Ex-Wives Mayte Garcia & Manuela Testolini Hold Star-Studded Private Memorial For Late Legend
You know you are loved when two of your ex-wives join forces to plan a memorial service for you.
Prince‘s ex-wives Mayte Garcia and Manuela Testolini held a star-studded private “Celebration of Life” memorial service for the late music icon on Wednesday night in Los Angeles.
A source tells E! News that “they wanted to have a somber memorial since they weren’t allowed at the other one” and that the top-secret event was attended by only those closest to the “Purple Rain” singer.
Attendees included Herbie Hancock, Tavis Smiley and Dita Von Teese, just to name a few. Hours before the event, Spike Lee posted an Instagram previewing parts of his outfit, writing, “Purple beret and purple Kobe’s for Prince memorial tonight in El Lay.”
Mayte married Prince in 1996 and they divorced in 2000. Manuela married the musical legend one year later in 2001 and they divorced in 2006.
Manuela is currently building a school in Prince’s honor.
