“Power” Star Omari Hardwick Shares How Pauletta & Denzel Washington Saved Him From Homelessness
Loni Love recently sat down with “Power” star Omari Hardwick for an exclusive interview where he opened up about how Denzel Washington and his lovely wife, Pauletta, saved him from homelessness during a rough patch in his life.
Omari explained how he met the Washingtons and forged a family-like bond with them back when he worked at Campbell Hall High School and became a mentor to their son, John David Washington, who now stars on HBO’s “Ballers.”
While pursing his acting career, Omari said he “went broke” when a show he filmed with Spike Lee (“Sucker Free City”) flopped. That’s when Denzel and Pauletta stepped him to save him.
According to Omari, the couple gave him shelter and even paid his car off to avoid it being repossessed.
