RJ Cyler Joins ‘White Boy Rick’

Power Rangers star RJ Cyler has joined the cast of Sony Studio 8’s drug dealer drama, White Boy Rick.

The 22-year-old actor hailing from Jacksonville, Florida, will play the role of a drug dealer named Rudell Curry.

According to Variety, White Boy Rick is set in 1980s Detroit at the height of the crack epidemic and recaps the true-life story of Ricky Wershe Jr., who became an undercover informant at the age of 14 before becoming a major dealer — until he was arrested at age 17.

The film stars newcomer Richie Merritt, Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Rory Cochrane, and Brian Tyree Henry (“Atlanta“).

RJ Cyler currently stars as Billy the Blue Ranger in Saban’s Power Rangers movie and he’s fantastic!
