Alicia Keys‘ annual Keep A Child Alive Black Ball went down on Thursday night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

The event is “an evening of music and philanthropy to celebrate the creativity and vibrancy of Africa’s people, and eliminate AIDS as a factor in their future.”

Chris Rock served as the Master of Ceremonies with performances by Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz, Lion Babe, Wale, and Wizkid.

Angie Martinez, Maxwell, Gayle King, Angela Simmons, and Carmelo Anthony are a few of the notables who came out for the event.
