Meek Mill now has his very own weekend in the City of Brotherly Love.
Philadelphia City Council honored the rapper on Thursday with a proclamation and announced March 15, 16, and 17 will now be known as Meek Mill Weekend.

City Council President Darrell Clarke made the proclamation Thursday morning. He was joined by State Sen. Sharif Street in praising Mill, whose legal troubles catapulted him into national stardom as a criminal justice advocate and critic of mass incarceration.
In a post on his Instagram page, Meek wrote:
Philly gave me a meek weekend!!!!! Thank you to my city! ????
