The season 20 cast of “Dancing With the Stars” was announced on Tuesday morning and football star Michael Sam and legendary singer, Patti LaBelle, will be cutting a rug this season!
I know for a fact Auntie Patti can sang, but I’m forward to seeing her get footloose and fancy-free on the dancefloor.
Michael Sam took to his Twitter account to share his excitement with joining the cast, but made it very clear football will remain his top priority.
Very excited to be a part of @DancingABC. Football remains my unquestioned number 1 priority, however, while I continue to train and stay ready, I am ecstatic to participate in a fun, athletic competition like so many players before me have done.
Filming this offseason is very flexible and allows me to be part of the veterans combine 3/22 if accepted or any other workouts. I’m looking forward to getting started with @PetaMurgatroyd and winning!

Actress Suzanne Somers, Olympian Nastia Liukin,”Shark Tank” mogul Robert Herjavec, “Hunger Games” actress Willow Shields, artist-actress Rumer Willis, “Party Rock Anthem” singer Redfoo and R5 singer-songwriter Riker Lynch will also be competing for the trophy this season.
