This is just the mess that keeps on getting messy…

The Osundairo brothers filed a federal defamation lawsuit against Jussie Smollett‘s legal team on Tuesday (April 23).

Abel Osundairo and Ola Osundairo are suing Jussie’s team for alleging they carried out the attack on him without his knowledge and consent.

Defendants made these comments knowing they were untrue to distract from Mr. Smollett’s farce and to promote themselves and the Geragos & Geragos Law Firm.

Statements indicating Plaintiffs actually criminally battered Mr. Smollett without his consent are patently false and defamatory, as Mr. Smollett originated, planned, and orchestrated the attack.

The lawsuit names Mark Geragos, his law firm, and Tina Glandian as defendants.

Here’s the scoop on the defamation suit via Charlie De Mar of CBS Chicago:

The lawsuit also states:

Ms. Glandian’s statements have caused Plaintiffs irreparable financial damage.

As a result of Ms. Glandian’s false and defamatory statements concerning Bola Osundairo’s sexual activity, Plaintiff suffered and will continue to suffer damage, including economic damages and damages to his reputation.

The news of the lawsuit comes one day after a report that claimed the Ola and Abel were struggling to find work as actors.

The Osundairo brothers are suing for unspecified damages.
