Grab your pudding pops, boys and girls. Russell Simmons is about to get the Bill Cosby treatment.
The New York Police Department is investigating the Hip Hop mogul over shocking allegations that he may have raped or sexually assaulted nearly a dozen women over 20 years ago.

Cops recently started looking into the disturbing accusations against Simmons and are reaching out to his alleged victims, according to Deputy Chief Timothy Trainor.
“Our detectives are in the process of reviewing that information,” Trainor said in a statement.
One of Simmons’ accusers, Sherri Hines, told the Daily News that officers tried to contact her Thursday morning.
“They just let me know that they needed to talk to me about the Simmons allegations,” Hines said.
Hines, who claims Simmons raped her in his New York office in the early 1980s, is one of 11 women who have accused Simmons of sexual misconduct.
Simmons, 60, who cofounded the legendary Def Jam Records label, stepped down from all his companies last month after two women accused him of forcing them into having sex with him.
Simmons has vehemently denied all the allegations and vowed to fight back against the claims on Thursday.
“Today, I begin to properly defend myself. I will prove without any doubt that I am innocent of all rape charges,” Simmons said in an Instagram post capped off with a “#NotMe” hashtag.
Hines, who was part of the all-female hip hop group Mercedes Ladies, said she doesn’t wish any harm on Simmons but added that she’s relieved police are finally looking into the matter.
“If someone’s been hurt, the truth needs to come out,” she told The News. “Nobody has the right to violate anyone. It’s wrong, it’s just plain wrong.
