Nkechi Diallo better known as Rachel Dolezal was arrested and booked on Monday on charges of welfare fraud.
The former Spokane NAACP leader, who identified and lived her life as a black woman, has been charged with first degree theft by welfare fraud, making false verification and second degree perjury.

Rachel faces up to 15 years in jail if convicted. She pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to return to court in September.
An investigation was opened on Rachel Dolezal after she announced a book deal while receiving public assistance.
