Nicki Minaj has decided to pull out of the Jeddah World Fest in Saudi Arabia where she was set to headline on July 18.

The Queen of the Barbs had a change of heart about her performance after she says she educated herself on the issues of women and LGBTQ rights in Saudi Arabia.

In a statement to the Associated Press, Nicki said:

After careful reflection, I have decided to no longer move forward with my scheduled concert at Jeddah World Fest.

While I want nothing more than to bring my show to fans in Saudi Arabia, after better educating myself on the issues, I believe it is important for me to make clear my support for the rights of women, the LGBTQ community and freedom of expression.

After releasing her statement, Nicki Minaj took to Twitter and tweeted:

I’m sure this wasn’t an easy decision for Nicki Minaj considering her Saudi fans are pressuring her to go on with the performance.
