In two recent but separate incidents, two unsuspecting New Yorkers were pushed onto subway tracks by disgruntle homeless people.

At around 8:30 am on Tuesday Liliana Llanos was pushed onto the 4/5/6 line tracks at Union Square while she was listening to Bible passages through her headphones.

She fell in between two train tracks, and just missed the impact from an oncoming train.

Lliano suffered cuts to her head and body, and she was taken to the hospital after the incident.

Police immediately arrested Aditya Vemulapati, who they described as emotionally disturbed, and in his mid 40’s. He is facing attempted murder charges.

NYPD Chief of Transit Capt. Kathleen O’Reilly said the shove was premeditated.

It’s very disturbing. We see him waiting, calculating for the train to approach the station and at the opportune moment he pushed the victim onto the tracks.

She fell fortunately for her between the roll bed and rails, and by the grace of God sustained only minor injuries.

The incident was caught on video surveillance.

Another man pushed a UPS worker onto the tracks at the 42nd Street-Bryant Park Station Wednesday night.

Justin Pena attacked the UPS worker after the UPS worker refused to give him money, according to police.

These incidents encouraged the President of the MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) to bring awareness to mental health problems in the city that carry over to subway platforms.

It’s gotta be addressed, and I’m desperate for this mayor or the next to take it on. This city has a mental health crisis, we have got folks in this city who desperately need mental health care.

I’m not too familiar with subway culture being from the south, but I have heard some crazy stories.

Do you have a crazy subway experience or story?
