Damn Bruh! Netflix has canceled Marvel’s “Luke Cage” after two seasons leaving fans of the show completely stunned.
The news comes less than a week after the streaming service pulled the plug on “Iron Fist.”
Marvel and Netflix released the following joint statement:
Unfortunately, Marvel’s Luke Cage will not return for a third season.
Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is grateful to the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem’s Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cancellation was due to creative differences and the inability to agree to terms for the third season of the show.
I’d like to add that the second season was weak – in my humble opinion.

Maybe Netflix is canceling Luke cage cause they gone merge the Luke cage and Jessica jones series. I mean in the Marvel world they are a married couple with a child. So we better see Luke and Jessica or just cancel all the shows right now period????! pic.twitter.com/L4bxfsuY7D

I’m not into @Marvel movies or the universe. I was into #LukeCage which played like a modern Syfy allegory. Of all content on Netflix they cut Luke Cage in its prime. I hope they solicit other networks & platforms to continue. @cheo_coker is a great writer; Mike Colter is “Luke”
