Lee Daniels is beefing up the star power on his forthcoming Fox series, “Star,” by adding supermodel Naomi Campbell in a recurring role.

Here’s the scoop via Deadline:

Set in Atlanta, Star revolves around three talented young singers (Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny and Brittany O’Grady) who navigate the cut-throat music business on their road to success. The series, whose pilot was directed by Daniels, will feature original music, along with musical fantasy sequences, as the girls dream of their future. Its cast includes Queen Latifah, Benjamin Bratt and Nicholas Gonzalez.

Campbell will play Rose Spencer, the beautiful, wealthy and cultivated London-born mother of Alexandra (Destiny). Amiyah Scott also stars. The series will also feature guest star and Grammy Award winner Lenny Kravitz.
