On Thursday, Vin Diesel took the stage at Cinemacon in Las Vegas and announced the eighth installment of the high-speed adrenaline-pumping franchise will roll into theaters on April 14, 2017.

History indeed! 20 days after opening in theaters, Furious 7 has scooped $1.15 billion worldwide making it No.7 on the list of highest-grossing films of all time.
It’s pretty obvious why they aren’t hesitating to pull the trigger on a sequel.
While I thoroughly enjoyed Furious 7, I’m sure Paul Walker‘s passing had a huge impact on their box office numbers.
We all wanted to see Paul Walker one more time…as well as their special tribute at the end of the film.
