MOVIE SCOOP: Get A First Look At Columbus Short As Quadir In Film Adaptation Of ‘True To The Game’

Columbus Short and newcomer Erica Peeples are starring in the film adaptation of “True to the Game” a novel written by New York Times bestselling author Teri Woods.

The former “Scandal” star is set to play Quadir, a millionaire drug dealer, who falls in love with Gena (Peeples), a young girl from the projects, and introduces her to his fast-paced and dangerous lifestyle of sex, money, and drugs.

Vivica Fox, Evan Ross, Keith Robinson, and Nelsan Ellis are also starring in the Danny Green-directed film.

Columbus is producing the film along with Leah Daniels-Butler and Manny Halley.

Principal filming recently began in Los Angeles.
