It’s official! Barbershop 3 is on the way!
New Line Cinema has partnered with MGM to bring the third installment of the hit franchise to theaters.
According to Deadline, Ice Cube and Cedric the Entertainer have already signed on to reprise their roles in the film and Queen Latifah and Nicki Minaj are in talks to round out the cast.
Best Man Holiday director Malcolm D. Lee has signed on to direct the film with Kenya Barris (“Black-ish“) and Tracy Oliver (“Survivor’s Remorse“) writing the script.
Ice Cube recently gave Big Boy the scoop on Barbershop 3.

We gotta have Cedric, of course. But, we’re trying to bring as many people back as we can. We got a cool, funny, funny script.
It also deals with some of the issues happening out there in Chicago. It’s a real good movie.
