Erica Garner Funeral
On Monday night, hundreds of mourners gathered at First Corinthian Baptist Church in Harlem for the funeral service of activist Erica Garner.
Erica passed away on December 30, days after suffering a massive heart attack brought on by an asthma attack.
She leaves behind two children, a daughter, 8, and a son, 4 months.
Rapper and activist Common was in attendance and spoke during the service where Rev. Al Sharpton delivered the eulogy.
Unfortunately, Eric Garner‘s mother, Gwen Carr, wasn’t able to get into her own granddaughter’s funeral service.

Carr blamed Monday’s fiasco on her daughter-in-law, Erica’s mother, Esaw “Pinky” Garner.
“She didn’t want none of our family in there, on my side — the Garners,” said Carr, explaining that the family rift has been building for years.
