Mother Of Charlottesville Terrorist James Alex Fields Jr. Shocked: 'He Had An African-American Friend' (Video)

The mother of James Alex Fields Jr., the domestic terrorist who plowed his Dodge Charger into a crowd of protesters marching against the “pro-white” rally, is shocked by her son’s actions.

Samantha Bloom told The Associated Press that she knew her son was attending a rally in Virginia, but she thought it had something to do with Donald Trump.

She became visibly upset when she learned her son killed 32-year-old Heather D. Heyer and injured several others at the rally.

Bloom was apparently shocked to learn her son was a racist because she mentioned that “he had an African-American friend.” (singular)

Field’s mother, Samantha Bloom, told The Associated Press on Saturday night that she knew her son was attending a rally in Virginia but didn’t know it was a white supremacist rally.

“I thought it had something to do with Trump. Trump’s not a white supremacist,” said Bloom, who became visibly upset as she learned of the injuries and deaths at the rally.

“He had an African-American friend so …,” she said before her voice trailed off. She added that she’d be surprised if her son’s views were that far right.

James Alex Fields Jr. is being held without bail on second-degree murder, malicious wounding and failure to stop at the scene of an accident that resulted in a death.

Additional charges may be on the way now that a civil rights investigation has been launched.
