Moonlight Trailer
Janelle Monáe‘s acting career is in full bloom.
The award-winning recording artist is set to hit the big screen as mathematician Mary Jackson in Hidden Figures, and she is also starring in the Barry Jenkins drama, Moonlight.
Moonlight is a three-part narrative spanning the childhood, adolescence, and adulthood of an African-American man who survives Miami’s drug-plagued inner city, finding love in unexpected places and the possibility of change within himself.
Mahershala Ali, Naomie Harris, and André Holland (“The Knick“) also star in the film.
The trailer is intense to say the least.
