Almost a year after Chris Brown surrendered his pet monkey, Fiji, the singer has been slapped with misdemeanor charges for not having a proper permit for the exotic animal.
Breezy scooped the pet capuchin monkey as an early Christmas present for his daughter Royalty, but after he posted pics and video on social media the block got hot.
The California Department of Fish & Wildlife launched an investigation after receiving several complaints and within a month the monkey was taken into custody.
Chris Brown will be arraigned on February 6.
