Mo’Nique & Husband Sidney Hicks Slapped With $400,000 Tax Lien
Those IRS goons have swooped down on Mo’Nique and her husband, Sidney Hicks, claiming the couple owes nearly $400,000 in unpaid taxes.
According to Daily Mail, Mo and Sidney were slapped with a Federal Tax Lien for failing to pay their 2013 and 2014 taxes.
Academy Award winner Mo’Nique and her husband are accused of not paying their taxes for two years – and now the government says they owe nearly $400,000.
The IRS filed a Federal Tax Lien against Mo’Nique and Sidney Hicks on May 9, according to official records in Georgia obtained by Daily Mail Online.
The lien states that the couple, who married in 2006, refused to pay their taxes for the years 2013 and 2014. In 2013, they owed $201,695.99, and in 2014, they owed $188,208.99, bringing the total to $389,904.98.
The federal government has threatened to seize her property and assets if they don’t pay.The couple own a 10,600 square-foot home in Duluth, Georgia they bought for $2.8 million in 2007.
The truth of the matter is work was very scarce for Mo’Nique during that time.
After Precious, Mo was blackballed in Hollywood and it wasn’t until 2014, when she starred in Blackbird, that she re-emerged on the scene.
