Missy Elliott To Be Honored At VH1’s Hip Hop Honors

Hee-hee-hee-hee-how! Hee-hee-hee-hee-how!

Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott will join Queen Latifah as an honoree at VH1’s Hip Hop Honors: All Hail The Queens!

After a six-year hiatus, the show is back and will honor the female pioneers, trailblazers and trend-setters who led a movement and infiltrated the ranks of the male-dominated genre.

Via VH1:

Missy Elliott has achieved and maintained success over three decades. The critically acclaimed, five time Grammy Award-winning producer/songwriter/singer/rapper has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. In addition to releasing innovative and acclaimed music, Missy Elliott has become synonymous with groundbreaking music videos with the video for her most recent single, “WTF (Where They From),” racking up over 40 million views on YouTube. All six of Missy Elliott’s studio albums have been RIAA platinum certified or better, making her the only female rapper to have achieved this.

Congratulations to Missy on an honor well-deserved!
