Michael Dwayne Boddie Charged With Federal Crimes
Four months after Michael Vick announced his retirement from the NFL, his estranged father, Michael Dwayne Boddie, has been charged with heroin distribution and money laundering.
Boddie, who goes by the nickname “Vick” is among 12 people named in a federal indictment.

Seven of the 12 made initial appearances Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Norfolk. Boddie remains at large.
The indictment reveals little about the alleged conspiracy, except to say that it stretched from 2014 to this year and that it involved more than 1 kilogram of heroin. Prosecutors said the investigation was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security division.
