The final season of “POWER” premieres on August 25, but it ain’t over! Mary J. Blige is set to star in the first spinoff from the hit Starz drama.
Near the end of their TCA panel on Thursday, executive producers Courtney Kemp and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson revealed the Queen of Hip Hop/Soul will headline “POWER Book II: Ghost.”
According to Courtney, “POWER Book II: Ghost” will continue the journey of some of Power’s most controversial characters.
Mary J. shared her excitement about the spinoff saying:
This is probably going to be the most exciting thing that will happen to me this year.
I’ve known so many Tashas, I’ve known so many Ghosts. I’ve dated so many Ghosts.
I’m a huge fan for life, and I’m so grateful to be a part of it.
50 Cent took to social media writing:
