Marie Holmes, the single mother from North Carolina who hit the $188 Powerball jackpot in February, is clapping back at those who criticized her for using her winnings to bail her man out of jail.
Lamar “Hot Sauce” McDow was arrested in November following a yearlong investigation into drug trafficking rings. He was charged with trafficking heroin and possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver heroin. More than 8,000 bags of heroin were seized.
Three weeks after winning the lottery, Marie posted $3 million bail to get her boo out of the clink.
On July 23, police scooped Hot Sauce at their home for violating the curfew requirements of his pre-trial release. Police charged him with possession of a firearm by a felon after finding a gun in the house. Marijuana was also found in the home and Marie and several others were charged drug possession.
Like clockwork, Marie Holmes went down to the jail on August 5 and paid another $6 million bail to set her man free…temporarily.
When the news of how the mother of four (including a special needs son) was spending her winnings made headlines, Marie clapped back at her critics telling them to mind their own business!
What Y’all need to be worried about is Y’all money and not how I spend mine this is benefitting Y’all how? And no he’s no drug dealer or user but who are Y’all to judge anybody? I will definitely pray for Y’all because it’s much need…they talked about Jesus so I’m not surprised Y’all are talking about me but be blessed though.
My question to Marie (and Child Services) is what’s really going on in that house?
Who has drugs, guns, and a repeat offender in the house with their children? SMH
In 2006, Lamar McDow was convicted of assault on a female, assault and several counts of drug possession.
He’s currently wearing a GPS tracking and awaiting trial.
