Mariah Carey Releases Statement Defending Nick Cannon

Last week, I told you Nick Cannon threatened to sue the National Enquirer over a story they were planning to post.

According to Nick the report claimed he suffered a nervous breakdown and Mimi was planning to file court docs seeking full custody of their five-year-old twins.

You can get the scoop on that here.

Mariah Carey took to social media on Sunday and released a statement defending her ex against the looming false report.

The Grammy Award-winning singer wrote:

There’s no valid or truth to the false allegations looming in the press regarding our family.

Nick is the father of my children, we will always stand up for each other, have each other’s backs and we will always remain a strong family.

See her post below.

There’s nothing like a strong unified family.
