Donald Trump‘s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been completely destroyed.
Los Angeles police received a report on Tuesday that someone was planning to destroy the star, but once they arrived to check on it, the damage was already done.
James Otis dressed as a construction worker and took a sledgehammer to the star, breaking it up so badly that chunks are actually missing from the sidewalk.
He told Deadline he was trying to extract the star to auction it off and raise funds for the women who have come forward to accuse Trump of sexually assaulting them over the decades.
Via ABC News:
Police set up a tent to cover the star and placed traffic markers around it. Officers are doing extra patrols in Hollywood as a result.
There was no word on Wednesday from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on plans to fix it.
Trump’s star is located on Hollywood Boulevard between Orange Drive and Highland Avenue, right across the street from the El Capitan Theatre.
Trump’s star has been targeted by vandals in the past. It has also been used by a street artist, who built a tiny wall around the star back in July.
It was only a matter of time…
On Monday, T.I. posted this photo of the star with spray paint on it.
