“Love & Hip Hop: New York” Premiere Scores 4.6 Million Viewers
Mona Scott-Young is somewhere popping Myx bottles and flashing her gorgeous smile because the season 6 premiere of “Love & Hip Hop: New York” scored a total of 4.6 million viewers on Monday night making it the highest rated reality series premiere of 2015.

The 8 PM telecast averaged a 2.0 in the adult 18-49 demo (Live +SD) and attracted an average 2.7 million total viewers. The season premiere of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” on Monday, April 20th delivered a 2.5 rating among adults 18-49 (Live +SD)
When combined with its 10 PM and 12AM encores, the season premiere drew a total of 4.6 million total viewers.**
The 8 PM premiere finished as the #1 non-sports telecast of the day on cable among adults 18-49 and women 18-49*** – and as the highest rated season premiere yet for the New York edition of one of cable’s most watched reality franchises.
VH1 ratings continue to rise. For the current quarter-to-date, VH1 is pacing up +10% in primetime compared to year-ago levels for the same period. VH1 has dominated Monday nights in 2015, ranking as the #1 non-sports cable network in prime on Mondays with Women 18-49 for 51 of the last 52 weeks and with Adults 18-49 for 49 of the last 52 weeks.
VH1 also owned the social sphere on Monday night as over 103,000 unique tweeters sending nearly 434,000 tweets made “Love & Hip Hop: New York” the #1 most social show on all TV (broadcast + cable) including sports, with a total of 14 national trending topics (Nielsen Social Guide). The season six premiere also garnered nearly 200,000 additional tweets and 20,000 additional unique tweeters over last year’s season five premiere. On Facebook, total reach was up 325% from last week and fan engagement was up 133.4% from last week.
