At 4:00 pm today Le’Veon Bell will be released from the New York Jets and back on the NFL market, and in a recent Twitter post, Bell says he has a lot to prove.

See Twitter post below:

Bell played 17 games for the Jets, and he compiled 863 rushing yards, 500 receiving yards (69 passes), and 3 touchdowns.

Those are not great numbers for a three-time Pro Bowl running back, but they are not bad numbers either.

Le’Veon Bell was playing for the Jets under a 4-year, $52.5 million-dollar deal, with $27 million guaranteed, the deal was finalized in 2019 under general manager Mike Maccagnan.

There is speculation that some people in the Jets organization were not happy about Bell coming to the Jets.

Mike Maccagnan was fired on May 15, and interim general manager Adam Gase made it known that he didn’t want to sign Bell because he doesn’t value the running back position as a high dollar position.

Apparently, Adam Gase pushed his narrative until new general manager Joe Douglas decided to release Le’Veon Bell.

There is a lot of speculation about what teams will acquire Bell’s services. The New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers lead the discussion amongst fans.

Bell now falls into the RPA club (Released Player With An Attitude club), and with the right motivation, he can be an extremely dangerous asset.

What NFL team do you think will be a good fit for Le’Veon Bell?
