New year, same Lauryn Hill…
The beloved singer with a serious affliction CP time was slammed by her fans on social media after she showed up to her Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania show over three hours late on Tuesday night (Jan 31).
L Boogie’s show at the Heinz Hall was slated to begin at 8 pm. Unfortunately, she didn’t take the stage until 11:19 pm, after 75% of her audience requested a refund and left.

Those who stayed enjoyed the show that lasted until roughly 1 am.
After getting dragged on social media for showing up 2 hours late for her Atlanta show last year, Lauryn Hill offered this explanation for her tardiness:
I don’t show up late to shows because I don’t care and I have nothing but Love and respect for my fans. The challenge is aligning my energy with the time, taking something that isn’t easily classified or contained, and trying to make it available for others. I don’t have an on/off switch. I am at my best when I am open, rested, sensitive and liberated to express myself as truthfully as possible. For every performance that I’ve arrived to late, there have been countless others where I’ve performed in excess of two hours, beyond what I am contracted to do, pouring everything out on the stage.
Folks who paid their hard-earned money couldn’t have cared less last night when they took to the streets of social media to drag Ms. Hill.
12:51 and maybe 1/4 of the original crowd is still here watching #Laurynhill. 11:20 start. I'd be mad…but damn…she is fucking good.
