LaTocha Scott confirmed in New York City on Wednesday that Xscape and SWV will be battling on the “Verzuz” stage in May.
Timbaland and Swizz Beatz posted a “Verzuz” schedule to the verzuztv Instagram account with two May dates, but the competitors for those dates are blurred out.
Thanks to LaTocha Scott we now know who will be battling on May 8th.
After she let the cat out of the bag, Verzuz made the official announcement.
Back in December, Kandi Burruss from SWV teased a “Verzuz” battle between Xscape and SWV on her IGTV account.
The video shows the members of Xscape in the studio and LeLee Lyons, from SWV, popping up to challenge them to a “Verzuz” battle.
LaTocha Scott said Xscape has had several meetings to make sure their battle playlist is on point.
This is going to be a great battle.
I often wondered what a battle between LaTocha Scott and Coko Clemons from SWV would sound like, but I have no problem settling for an Xscape “Verzuz” SWV battle.
