
Facebook Live Shooter Turns Herself In
The Chicago woman who shot another woman on Facebook Live has turned herself in and has been charged with aggravated battery.

Labritney Austin, 29, turned herself in to Chicago police around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, less than two hours after the shooting was broadcast live and widely shared on the social media platform. She was ordered held without bail in a midday Friday hearing at the Leighton Criminal Court Building, according to court records.
Austin is accused of shooting a 27-year-old woman in the shoulder after they got into an argument around 2:55 p.m. The case is classified as a domestic violence attack, according to court records.
The woman who was shot was broadcasting on Facebook while she argued with Austin, who was in a car in the 6400 block of South Calumet Avenue in the Parkway Gardens neighborhood on the South Side, police said.
Austin took out a gun and fired, according to police.
She is charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and is scheduled to appear again in court on Tuesday.
