Kim Kardashian breaks silence on Balenciaga controversy
Instagram

After being called out by fans, Balenciaga baddie, Kim Kardashian, finally broke her silence about the luxury brand’s controversial holiday campaign where they sexualized children.

In case you missed it, the campaign featured children with sexualized teddy bears, who were wearing BDSM-inspired harnesses.

Another campaign photo for a purse featured documents on a desk that appeared to be an excerpt from the U.S. Supreme Court opinion on United States vs. Williams (2008), which upheld part of a federal child pornography law.

After receiving backlash for the campaign, Balenciaga released an apology and shifted the blame to a third party for creating the set and including unapproved items.

Taking to her Instagram Story, Kim Kardashian implied that she was disgusted and outraged by the campaigns, but wanted to talk to the team to get understanding.

“I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven’t been disgusted or outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted an opportunity to speak to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened.”

After she condemned child abuse of any kind, she caped for the brand saying that she appreciates their apology and believes they will never do it again.

“I appreciate Balenziaga’s removal of the campaign and apology. In speaking with them, I believe they understand the seriousness of the issue and will take the necessary measures for this to never happen again.”

Kim added that she is re-evaluating her “relationship with the brand.”

“As for my future with Balenciaga, I am currently re-evaluating my relationship with the brand, basing it off their willingness to accept accountability for something that should have never happened to begin with – and the action I am expecting to see them take to protect children.”

She’s gone stick beside them.

Let me tell you quickly why this is B.S….

As an owner of her own brand, SKIMS, Kim Kardashian knows the process of creating a campaign and how many eyes have to see and approved that campaign before it goes public.

If you want to keep wearing their clothes…just say that.
