Kim Kardashian Joins The Fight To Free Cyntoia Brown & Alice Johnson
Kim Kardashian has hired her attorney, Shawn Holley, to help the clemency campaigns of Cyntoia Brown, a former child sex slave sentenced to life in prison for killing her predator, and Alice Johnson, who was sentenced to life in prison for her first-time nonviolent drug conviction.

“Kim asked me several weeks ago how she could help Alice Johnson in her fight for justice. We then began corresponding with Alice and her team of lawyers,” Holley told the Daily News.
“Since then, Kim has championed the cause of Cyntoia Brown and asked me to help her get involved in that effort as well,” Holley said Thursday.
Johnson, a 62-year-old grandmother and former FedEx worker, is 21 years into a life sentence for her first-time, nonviolent drug conviction.
In the mid-1990s, she helped members of a cocaine ring pass messages back and forth. The Tennessee mother of four took full responsibility for the crime two long decades ago, explaining it was a mistake she made after falling on hard times.
“She has been a model prisoner and has the support of the warden, government officials and a host of others in her bid for release,” Holley told The News.
Johnson’s case was even selected by an ACLU ad campaign to end mass incarceration.
Say what you want about Kim Kardashian, but I truly respect her for stepping up to help Cyntoia and Alice.
